The brief for this was a interesting one. It wasn’t a matter of art-working a few graphics to Netflix’s specification. Netflix required a range of different assets to maximize diversity. No one user is the same. They want to target as many users as possible using their intelligent algorithm. With Traditional marketing there would be set key art that would be repurposed. Netflix believe in creating as many different graphics for as many relevant genres. So where a user that wouldn’t be enticed to view a a show called ‘Adventure Time’ with a bright out going graphic with a princess on it, they might be interested in ‘Adventure Time’ with dark and spooky suggestions with a knight on.
